Whitetail Deer are found throughout most of the United States.  Whitetail Deer are one of the most adaptable animals to its environment.  Although man’s population and cities takes in more of the whitetail’s terrain each year, the whitetail deer Deer Repellentis thriving.  Its ability to adapt to its new surroundings allows for close encounters with people in rural and urban settings.  The ability to adapt allows them to fill free to use our yards and gardens as restaurants filling their stomachs.  They all have a sweet tooth and almost always order dessert in the form of our prized shrubbery, plants, flowers, vegetables and fruits.

While deer feed primarily early and late day, they will feed during the day as well.  Deer damage is easy to recognize.  They browse low hanging branches stripping leaves by tearing the leaves as well as stripping the bark from trees.  This is most noticeable in the Fall and Winter months as deer are most hungry due to less food sources available.  Deer are creative in the method of reaching browse by standing on their hind legs to reach higher food sources.

People have used many methods of trying to control deer activity.  They put up barriers such as fences, both stationary and electric.  While these barriers are expensive to build and maintain, deer simply by pass, jump or go through many of these fenced barriers.

Repellents are a good alternative to these types of barriers and are less expensive.  Deer have three defenses:  ears, eyes and nose.  The deer's nose being the most important as a defensive tool to keep safe.
